This Privacy Policy explains how SpotWise (“SpotWise”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the SpotWise mobile app (the “app”).

In short: SpotWise processes the content you choose to share with the app to return relevant results — and it does this without requiring an account or collecting information that identifies you.

By using SpotWise, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

We keep data collection to the minimum needed for the app to work. The list below is complete.

Content you share

When you actively share content with the app (for example, a link or an image), we process it to perform the action you requested and return your results. You decide what, if anything, to share.

Recent activity

A history of your recent activity is stored locally on your device so you can revisit it. It is not uploaded to our servers, and you can clear it any time from in-app Settings.

Country & currency

The region you pick in Settings — or your device's region setting if you leave it on Automatic — so prices and results match your market. This is a preference you control, not your device's location.

Usage analytics

Events about how the app is used and performs — such as which screens you open, which features you use, and the search terms generated from content you share — so we can fix issues and improve the app. These events are tied to the random app identifier below, not to a name or account.

Crash & diagnostic reports

If the app crashes or hits an error, we receive a technical report — what went wrong, where in the app it happened, and basic device and app information such as device model and operating system version — so we can fix it. These reports do not include the content you share.

App identifier

A random identifier created when you install the app. It lets us apply fair-use limits and keep crash and usage reports separated between installs. It is not your name, an account, or an advertising ID, it is not linked to your identity, and it disappears when you uninstall the app.

App-integrity signals

Technical signals used to confirm that requests come from the genuine SpotWise app and to help prevent abuse. These do not identify you.

We designed SpotWise so that none of the following ever happens:

• No account or sign-in
• No name, email, or phone number
• No GPS or device location
• No contacts
• No access to your photo library
• No payment or financial information
• No advertising profiles or cross-app tracking
• We never sell your data

We do not build user profiles, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Ever.

We use the limited information described above only to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the app and its features;
• process the content you choose to share and return your results;
• keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical problems;
• understand overall usage so we can improve the app.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running the app.

We never sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the app. They may process data only on our behalf, and only to provide their service to us:

Cloud hosting & infrastructure

To run our backend and handle your requests.

Content processing

To process the content you choose to share and generate your results.

Analytics

To provide us with anonymous, aggregated usage and performance metrics.

App integrity & anti-abuse

To verify the app is genuine and protect the service against abuse.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or SpotWise — for example, to prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not keep your data longer than needed:

• Content you share is processed to produce your result and is not stored long-term. To keep the app fast, results may be cached on our servers temporarily (a few hours) and are then deleted automatically.
• Your recent activity lives only on your device. You can clear it at any time from in-app Settings, and uninstalling the app removes all data stored locally.

To request deletion of any data associated with your use of SpotWise, email us using the details in the Contact section. We will respond within 30 days.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

SpotWise is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

SpotWise operates globally, and your information may be processed on servers located outside your country or region, where data-protection laws may differ. Wherever your information is processed, we protect it as described in this policy.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

Because SpotWise requires no account and does not collect information that identifies you, we usually hold little or no personal data about you. To exercise any rights, or if you have questions, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown above. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice through the app or our store listing.

Your continued use of SpotWise after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
